Key Challenge: Severe water runoff from surrounding fields causing heavy waterlogging across the plot.
What I Did:
Built a dedicated retaining wall to intercept field runoff and divert water into a custom-designed underground drainage system.
Engineered a heavy-duty lawn drainage solution using herringbone pipework, a gravel bridging layer, Terram geotextile membrane, and 300mm of imported topsoil.
Laser-graded the entire site to establish precise levels and optimal surface falls.
Constructed path networks, installed planters, and prepared the ground for a high-end finish.
Outcome:
Transformed a waterlogged plot into a high-quality, fully drained garden.
